Name Profile
Hon. Michael G Werikhe He is the CSII Board Chairman.  A Member of Parliament, former Minister in the Government of Uganda and Certified Physical Planner and Surveyor. With wide experience in national policy development matters.
Joseph  Ariong Odea He is the Vice Chairperson Board. A successful entrepreneur, Founder and Managing Director of Wash and Wills Hotels. He is a seasoned Strategist in matters of business, national importance and development.
Simon Peter Opolot – Okwalinga He is the Director General & Chief Executive of CSII. He is a professional Strategist with wide experience in defence, security and governance studies. Holds a Master in Strategic Studies of the University of Leads in the United Kingdom; a Master of Arts in Development and Governance of the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany and a Bachelors Degree in Sociology from Makerere University, Uganda. He possess over 10 years of successful career in Government with service at Principal and Head of Unit levels in the Ministry of Defence, Office of the Chief of Defence Forces, Office of the Joint Chief of Staff, Office of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Office of the Inspector General of Government, among others. Has attended Senior Military/Security Leaders Courses under Africa Center for Strategic Studies, National Defence University, Washington D.C and UK Defence Academy. Has researched and documented on a range of subject areas in Politics, Defence and Security, and is the founder of the Guardian Ideology.
Emmanuel Tumwerinde Aturinde He is the Deputy Director General of the Center.  Holds a Master of Arts in Development and Governance of the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany, and First Class Degree in Political Science and Sociology from Makerere University and a Leadership and Development Certificate of the Uongozi Institute University of Dar-es-Salaam Tanzania among others. Has worked as the Executive Director at Hunger Fighters Uganda, worked with UN WFP and a Consultant with Trust Africa in Senegal. He serves as a Lecturer of Public Administration and Management at Uganda Christian University. His research interests are Public Policy, Hunger, Natural Resource Management, Rural Transformation, Governance, globalization and Security.
Robert Aupal He is the Program Director. A seasoned educationist, Theologist and NGO Management specialist. He Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education of Kyambogo University, Uganda.

NAME PROFILE
Dr. Asingwire Narathius Principal Consultant. Holds PhD, and is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department Social Work and Social Administration, College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Makerere University.  He is a seasoned Social Policy Analyst and Researcher with over 20 years of experience in qualitative and quantitative research and University Teaching. Has served as a Consultant with local and international agencies including the World Bank, UNDP, DANIDA, and FAO UNICEF among others.
Assoc. Prof. Andrew E. State  Principal Consultant.  Andrew Ellias State is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. His main academic specialties are in Sociology of Development, Political Sociology and Social Movements, Social Networks, and livelihood analysis in East Africa. He is the author of Social Capital Networks and Livelihood Patterns in Uganda: A comparative Analysis and understanding of a contemporary situation (VDM, 2010), and other articles, such “Marginalized Livelihoods under neo-liberal development policies in Uganda” (International Journal of Sociology and Anthropology 2010). “The dynamics of Informal Rural Credit Schemes (IRCS) and social capital outcomes in Uganda” (The East African Journal of Development Studies 2008). “Uganda: History and Politics” (New Encyclopedia of Africa 2008).

He has conducted research wide areas related to livelihoods and governance. He has also been a visiting scholar under the University of Michigan African Presidential Scholar (UMAPS 2011-12).

Dr. Nkote Nabeta                      Senior Consultant. Holds a PhD. He is an Economist and senior Lecturer at Makerere University Business School.
Simon Peter Okoshi He is the Director, Peace and Conflict Studies. Assistant Commissioner of Police and Deputy Commander of the Environment Police. He is has previously served as the Commandant of Marine Police Unit. He holds a Master of Arts in Conflict Security and Development from Leeds University in the United Kingdom.
Source Opak                            He is the Director Culture & Ideology. Mr. Opak is a Journalist by profession and a Writer. He is the Minister of Information, Teso Cultural Union. He has worked in Government as an information Officer.
Ruth Tibesesa She is the Director Scholarship and Career Development (SCAD). Holds a Master of Arts in Archaeology from the University of Dar-es-Salaam and Bachelors of Education from Makerere University. Currently she serves as a Lecturer of Archaeology at Kyambogo University and History at Uganda Christian University.
