PROFILES OF KEY PERSONNEL
|Dr. Asingwire Narathius||Principal Consultant. Holds PhD, and is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department Social Work and Social Administration, College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Makerere University. He is a seasoned Social Policy Analyst and Researcher with over 20 years of experience in qualitative and quantitative research and University Teaching. Has served as a Consultant with local and international agencies including the World Bank, UNDP, DANIDA, and FAO UNICEF among others.|
|Assoc. Prof. Andrew E. State||Principal Consultant. Andrew Ellias State is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. His main academic specialties are in Sociology of Development, Political Sociology and Social Movements, Social Networks, and livelihood analysis in East Africa. He is the author of Social Capital Networks and Livelihood Patterns in Uganda: A comparative Analysis and understanding of a contemporary situation (VDM, 2010), and other articles, such “Marginalized Livelihoods under neo-liberal development policies in Uganda” (International Journal of Sociology and Anthropology 2010). “The dynamics of Informal Rural Credit Schemes (IRCS) and social capital outcomes in Uganda” (The East African Journal of Development Studies 2008). “Uganda: History and Politics” (New Encyclopedia of Africa 2008).
He has conducted research wide areas related to livelihoods and governance. He has also been a visiting scholar under the University of Michigan African Presidential Scholar (UMAPS 2011-12).
|Dr. Nkote Nabeta||Senior Consultant. Holds a PhD. He is an Economist and senior Lecturer at Makerere University Business School.|
|Simon Peter Okoshi||He is the Director, Peace and Conflict Studies. Assistant Commissioner of Police and Deputy Commander of the Environment Police. He is has previously served as the Commandant of Marine Police Unit. He holds a Master of Arts in Conflict Security and Development from Leeds University in the United Kingdom.|
|Source Opak||He is the Director Culture & Ideology. Mr. Opak is a Journalist by profession and a Writer. He is the Minister of Information, Teso Cultural Union. He has worked in Government as an information Officer.|
|Ruth Tibesesa||She is the Director Scholarship and Career Development (SCAD). Holds a Master of Arts in Archaeology from the University of Dar-es-Salaam and Bachelors of Education from Makerere University. Currently she serves as a Lecturer of Archaeology at Kyambogo University and History at Uganda Christian University.|
